Super Horse Champion and Reserve Winners for 2011 announced!

"Wrapper's Lucky Charm", owned by Taylor Stephens and ridden and trained by June Tabor wins the Champion for 2011, 

"HF I'll Be The One", owned by Stacie Wight wins Reserve Champion.  Congratulations on a job well done!

Inaugural Super Horse Champion and Reserve Winners!

Leeanna Rhodes and her horse Strait Out of Scotch won the first Super Horse awards, receiving the Crimson Super Horse Perpetual Trophy, and her choice of Saddle from Broken Horn!

Second runner-up, Michelle Lewis, won a pair of silver spurs, while third runner-up, Sharon Gray, won a custom jacket.

The Crimson Super Horse Perpetual Trophy is sponsored by Aimee Zabst, of Equitation Inspiration Training, in honor of her "super" lesson horse Crimson & Clover.

June Tabor Show Horses was a major sponsor of the Award saddle, as headlined below.

June Tabor clinic raises funds for Super Horse Award - a Broken Horn Saddle!


What a great group of riders - and they learned a lot too!

June Tabor graciously donated all the proceeds from her Western and English Pleasure clinic, held at her ranch in July of 2010, to the "Super Horse fund".  Along with raffles and Super Horse entries throughout the show season, enough funds were raised to allow the Super Horse winner, Leeanna Rhodes, to purchase a Broken Horn saddle!

Sad News for the Corral 118 family

September 2009 Jan Presley was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer.  The massive amounts of radiation and chemotherapy were too much for her.  She passed away in her home Monday morning, 3-29-10.  She was the dedicated mother of Jenna Presley, who successfully showed at Corral 118 for years. There will be a funeral service at forest lawn Monday, April 5th at 3 pm.  Our prayers and heartfelt sympathy goes out to the the Presley family.  We will miss you Janis.

 

New! Super Horse Year-End Award!

Be sure to sign up your super horse to compete for the new year-end program!  A horse and rider combo competing in Open classes in at least 5 shows this year can qualify to win the "Crimson Super Horse" perpetual trophy.)  Other great prizes will be awarded as well, determined by the monies collected from registrations for the class, and benefits, such as the Western Pleasure & Hunter under Saddle clinic (see below.) You can sign up at the show - see you there!
